Each plant is capable of flowering for several weeks.
As a bright white flower Tuberoses make a valuable addition to any garden.
Ranking 6th in the world for fragrance their essential lis is used extensively in perfumery. Tuberoses are also a top choice of florists and notably used in Hawaian leis.
The flowers can hold their fragrance and beauty for 7-10 days.
In NW Arkansas, (Zone 6-7) bloom time is mid July till frost. Considered a zone 8-10 plant, the tubers are not cold hardy and should be dug for over wintering.
Here at Plentygood Farm we over winter in the ground by adding 4 - 6 inches of mulch on top.
